Our Planning team will be in continuous communication with you to present the research project we are currently working on, via email or Linkedin depending on which channel you prefer. If easier for you, we can also have a quick call over the phone to present to you the opportunity to collaborate. Goal is to make sure you fully understand the context behind the piece of research we are conducting, to which extent you'll be able to assist the research team with your experience, and the concrete questions & topics the team would like to discuss with you. Usually, most collaborations will be conducted via Zoom or Teams calls, during which the research team that is conducting the in-depth research investigation will lead the discussion with you. Those discussions usually last 45-60min, sometimes more, but always in accordance with you. We'll also sometimes reach out to conduct shorten quick discussions as well as propose to answer a survey if that works for you.

100% YES! Prior to conducting any kind of collaboration with you, a remuneration model will be presented to you. It is usually a reflexion of the time you'll be spending to contribute to our research, typically based upon a contractual hourly rate. To reassure you, our admin & payment process is smooth and takes just a few days from the completion of your collaboration engagement. We usually leverage Wise to conduct international payments at global level, and also offer a few alternatives if that doesn't work in your specific jurisdiction. In the past years, we are cumulatively paid our Members millions of €/$/£ so this is a well oiled operation on our side, and rest assured that we'll be by your side to make sure you get rewarded for your precious time and experience. To preserve your personal sensitive information, you won't be asked to provide specific banking info as it's all done via a compliant third party transfer platform.

For Members who don't wish to get compensated for your contribution, we still want you to feel like your contribution is valued and has an impact, so we created a few years ago our world & social impact initiative. You'll be given the choice to donate to the NGO of your choice within a long list of organizations that have a positive world & social impact (e.g. WWF, UN World Food Programme, UNICEF). Each year, Members collectively contribute tens of thousands of €/$/£ to NGOs and we are really thankful and proud of this.

All Members collaborations are fully compliant and you'll be asked to inspect and sign a Terms of Collaboration agreement between Dedale and yourself as Member. The agreement typically protects the collaboration under NDA, and covers the terms of collaboration and remuneration terms.

We have worked in the past years with Members from all continents. Our bigger Consultant groups are typically based in North America and Europe, but we also routinely collaborate with Members in APAC incl. ANZ, Middle-East & Africa, and LATAM.

Wide majority of collaboration projects are usually conducted in English. However, to make sure communication is smooth, and reflects all the nuances of local languages, the Dedale team has internal capabilities to conduct research in dozens of languages including for example but not limited to: German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Italian, Russian, Polish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Tagalog...

This is why we typically aim to stay in contact, understand which areas of technology you are confortable advising on, and keep your informed about the research we will be conducting in your areas of expertise.
